Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment produced by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial environments where the machine must travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the versatility and benefits of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC machine.
Important characteristics which this combination offers is out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Additionally, the zero tail-swing provided by most units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through standard doors and narrow aisles.
The drive and proportional controls offer the machinery with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model offers engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine extreme lifting versatility and out, over and up positioning capabilities. The outreach provided by this particular type is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on most models and have a tight turning radius. These machinery are ideal for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they offer supreme power, exceptional torque and grade and terrain maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet in general too. Nearly all models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to provide great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
