Scissor Lift
The scissor lift uses a series of crisscrossed linked steel arms. These arms are designed to make an X patterned support system when the lift is raised vertically. Workers use a large rectangle platform that is attached to the top of the lifting mechanism. There are support railings along the edges to provide added protection.
Scissor lifts are great for pavement, compact and hard dirt surfaces and concrete as they feature a low profile. These equipments make use of either an electric motor or a combustion engine to power the lifting mechanism and the lift.
Rough Terrain Scissor Lift
Rough terrain scissor lifts utilize the same technology as the regular kind of scissor lift. The rough terrain unit differs in that it features a specific base that is designed for surfaces that are uneven. The rough terrain even provides oversized all terrain tires and a higher ground clearance. These units provide lower lifting heights overall due to the higher center of gravity of the machinery.
Telescopic Boom Lift
The telescopic boom lift provides a telescoping beam that rises both diagonally and vertically. This machinery offers a small work platform outfitted with controls to operate the boom. The controls use a combustion or an IC engine in order to power the hydraulics and lift the boom.
Articulating Boom Lift
Articulating booms have two telescopic booms connected together with a moving elbow. This lifting equipment provides a bucket or a small working platform outfitted with hand controls that are used to control the boom. The articulating lift can reach on top buildings and over objects.
