Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck that is essentially a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions and "Walkie" models.
The walkie type as the name implies, is made to enable the operator to walk along the machine while they pick up and move cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are great for frequent transporting of cargo over extended distances in manufacturing operations and warehouses. They are extremely fast and maneuverable.
It is important to remember that there is no safety cage on this model and hence, it is not recommended to move tall or unstable loads utilizing these machinery. A rider could be the perfect answer if you are searching for a cheap way of transporting cargo from one place to another. If though, you must transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit instead of a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right choice.
Order Selector
The order picker or order selector is a piece equipment designed particularly for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks attached to a platform in the Man-up design. This particular platform elevates both the load and the operator with a purpose to facilitate manual loading and unloading from racking areas.
Order Selectors are usually very narrow aisle vehicles which can function in aisles of less than six feet. They are extremely handy pieces of equipment during cycle counting situations as well as during physical inventories. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, although models that range in the 20 to 30 foot range are a lot more common.
